REPURPOSE | REUSE | UPCYCLE
Parents are often wondering if we could use yarn, fabric, plastic containers, etc. in the art room...the answer is usually "YES!" We love to repurpose, reuse, and upcycle here at BAIS, and our students enjoy discovering new and innovative ways to create art out of recycled and found objects.
Here are some examples of recyclable/consumable supplies we will happily take off your hands:
Fabric scraps
Plastic or paper cups
Paper plates
Egg cartons
Cardboard tubes (paper towel, TP, wrapping paper)
Cardboard boxes
Paper bags
Age-appropriate magazines
Old picture frames
T-shirts
The following items are not necessarily consumable/recyclable supplies, but are on our Wish List if you happen to have them to donate:
Blender
Rolling Pins
Old school overhead projector
Lastly, here are a few non-recyclable art materials we would love find here in the Gambia. Please let us know if you have a lead!
Air dry clay
Canvas
Access to a kiln
