We're back from spring break and BAIS students are hard at work exploring how visual arts are used as a means of telling stories. Here's just a little of what we've done so far! PreK and Kindy artists made these fantastic Gruffalo-inspired puppets First graders worked in the style of Aboriginal dot painters Grade 4/5 students examined the importance of symbols in Egyptian art and designed their own symbolic steles to represent their personal values Middle School students began exploring the world of stop-motion animation!

This is really exciting work! I love the kindy and preK's Gruffalo-inspired puppets. So much personality! I'm also very impressed by the beautiful and sophisticated work the primary students have created with inspiration from Aboriginal and Egyptian art.
